May 1 through 31 Exhibits

EXHIBITS & COLLECTIONS:

May 1 to 31: 

  • “Tennessee Artists Association Show” Exhibit, coordinated by Elden Elmer and Sharon Gillenwater, located in the Reading Rotunda end of Main Gallery. (Showing May 1-24)
  • “Photography” Exhibit, by Gavin Morris, age 12, will be on the Art Wall at the Bookmark Café.
  • “Water Quality Month” Exhibit, coordinated by John Lamb, will be in the square pedestal display case in the Entry Rotunda of the library.
  • “Immunizations: Blount County Health Department” Exhibit, coordinated by Will Gates, will be located in vertical display case in the nook of the wall at the end of the Circulation Check-In Desk.
  • “Star Wars” Exhibit, by A. J. Rowe and Jennifer Spirko, will be in one Mid-Gallery case near the Magazine Shelves in the Main Gallery of the library.
  • “National Space Day” Exhibit, by Mary Elmore, will be in one Mid-Gallery case near the Magazine Shelves in the Main Gallery of the library.
  • “Summer Reading: Libraries ROCK!” Exhibit, will be in one square pedestal case near the Audio Visual (AV) area of the Main Gallery.
  • “Mini-Con” Exhibit, by Youth Services, in one vertical display case near the Audio Visual (AV) area.
  •  “Life on Mt. LeConte” Exhibit, by Linda Marcus in the Genealogy display case at Temporary Books Shelves.
  • “Blount County Arts and Crafts Guild Member Art” Exhibit, coordinated by Jeanie Dockery, will be on two easels in the sitting area of the Main Gallery.
  • Teen ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) Reviews.” Check out the new display of ARC (advanced reader copy) books, located just before you get to the Reference and Teen Central areas. These are books that have yet to go through their final edits and be published, but we scored some just for you! Choose a book from the display to take home, read, and then write a review and post on the library’s Facebook page for others to see. 
  • Intrigued By the First Line” Exhibit, by Patron Services, in the Main Gallery between the two Circulation Desks.
