The Blount County Planning Commission will hold public hearing on the Blount County Green Infrastructure Plan at 5:30 PM on July 23, 2009 in Room 430 of the Courthouse. The Planning Commission may also consider acting on adoption of the Plan. The Blount County Planning Commission will hold public hearing on the proposed revised Blount County Policies Plan on September 25, 2008 at 5:30 PM in room 430 of the Courthouse. The Planning Commission will also consider adoption of the revised Policies Plan at the September 25, 2008 meeting. Below is the proposed revised Policies Plan, subject of the Public Hearing.

After a one year review process, the Planning Commission produced a first draft of a revised Policies Plan. The revised Plan was available for citizen review and comment for approximately two months, and the Planning Commission held a citizen input workshop on July 15, 2008. Below are the first draft of the revised Plan and related citizen comments.

The County Planning Commission undertook a review of the 1999 Policies Plan beginning in June of 2007. Below are summaries and other materials used in review by the Planning Commission.

Original zoning Regulations Blount County, Tennessee June 15, 2000 - Containing the text of resolutions from Resolution 00-06-010, a resolution adopting zoning in Blount County pursuant to Sections 13-7-101, et seq., of the Tennessee Code Annotated, Also titled Zoning Resolution of Blount County, Tennessee and Resolution 00-06-011, Blount County Floodplain Zoning Resolution, a resolution adopted pursuant to Sections 13-7-110 through 13-7-115 of the Tennessee Code Annotated for the purpose of regulating the floodplain areas of Blount County, Tennessee to minimize danger to life and property and to establish eligibility in the National Flood Insurance Program.
