Blount County Government prides itself on its customer service and dedication to the members of our community. An exciting part of our ongoing efforts to provide excellent customer and community support is the implementation of a new financial management system (software program).
Within the framework of this new software is a new vendor portal - Vendor Self Service (VSS). VSS allows you, the vendor, to quickly view your profile, update contact information, view checks, submit invoices and view purchase orders.
Federal ID Numbers - The Federal ID number requested in the new VSS portal is the one registered with the IRS. This is not a State issued tax permit. The two are not the same.
W-9 Forms- To attach your latest W-9 to your account, click on “Upload attachment documents to your profile” under “Vendor Information”. (See screen shot below) The system will direct you from here.
Registering in VSS:
New Vendors- All vendors doing business with the County must be registered on the Vendor Self Service Portal. For information on this registration click here and follow the instructions for registration.
Existing Vendors- will need to register in Vendor Self Service using their Vendor ID number provided in a letter mailed from the County's existing financial system prior to January 2019. Access the site here.
