Portion of Cold Springs Road to be Closed for Bridge Replacement
A new bridge is currently being constructed on Cold Springs Road. In order to finalize paving, striping, signage and installation of guard rail, Cold Springs Road will be closed from Cold Springs Missionary Baptist Church to the intersection with Old Chilhowee Rd. The closure will start at 8:30 AM on July 11th and the Road will reopen on July 14th at 4:00 PM. Accommodations will be made for those residents living on this stretch of road.
Once this work is completed the new bridge with improved approaches will be open to the public. Highway Superintendent Jeff Headrick said, "I believe the folks living and traveling through the Cold Springs Community will be very pleased with this newer, safer bridge."
Notice of Road Closure
TDOT is working on the Foothills Parkway and will close the road for repairs. Attached is an updated PDF of the Road Closure map regarding the paving project on Foothills Parkway near Flats Road. The map area is extended out with a map inset highlighting the area coming off Foothills Parkway where the signage will be placed.

Mowing Season
It's that time of year again and our vegetation crews have started mowing all over the county. Please be cautious when approaching and watch for flagmen. We want everyone to be safe and have a great summer in our beautiful county.
Ready For Bad Weather
Blount County and the City of Maryville have partnered with the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration to embark on a planning process to result in the improvement of approximately 2.3 miles of Morganton Road from it’s intersection with Foothills Mall Drive to the intersection of William Blount Drive.
