Personal Property
Any personal property items brought into the facility at the time of your arrest (house keys, valuables such as jewelry, clothing, etc.), except for the clothing you expect to wear when released, must be released to a family member or friend within 30 days of your admission or it will be confiscated. Supervisors may grant exceptions to this rule for inmates who have no friends or relatives in the immediate area, and if the amount of property can fit into a property locker in the Property Room.
You must advise anyone picking up your property that they may be required to wait, and that they must possess a valid picture identification (such as a driver's license) before the property will be released to them.
An inmate must complete a property release form authorizing the facility to release his or her property. This form may be obtained from an Intake Officer as you are being processed into the facility, or from any Corrections Officer after you have been admitted. Requests to release property should be completed at least 24 hours prior to the planned pick up of the property.
An inmate to be released to another facility must release all of their property remaining in the facility prior to relocation. Property release forms will be provided prior to your transfer. Do not send anyone to pick up this property prior to your release from the facility. Nothing will be released until you have left the facility. You may take the following items into the state prison system:
Money
The money that is in your inmate account (a check will be written - no cash will be given) will be mailed to the address provided by the inmate. No check is issued at the time of release, and may take two to three weeks to process prior to mailing. The Sheriff's Office will not be responsible for property once it has been released.
No exchanges of clothing are allowed.
Clothing for an inmate scheduled to appear at a jury trial will be accepted 24 hours in advance of your appearance (from your attorney only) in the 24-Hour Lobby.
All property left in the facility for more than 15 days after your release or transfer will be disposed of.
Proper Identification

- Tuesday -- 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.
